The Artistry of Life, We are God's Tapestry!

Another day of life, arriving at the moment when it seems like nothing you do ever matters, just ALWAYS busy!!  The constant hustle and bustle of life, keeps my toes and feet on the edge.  A father, a husband to a beatiful wife of 10 years for the last 6 years have been surrounded by the pitter patter of anothers little feet.  If you thought life was interesting as a bachelor, a young person in college stressing over coursework, or a single guy or girl in your 20s stressing out or complaining about nothing to do over the weekend.  Oh the day when I couldn't find something to do, what can I do?  The famous question we ask when were young is, WHAT CAN I DO?!?!??!

Ask any father or husband, do you think about what I can do or rather What Can I NOT DO???? NOT NOT NOT, now I say, NOT enough time, NOT is a long lost word these days.  All I do, is do, do, do....when I can actually stop and smell the fresh air, what a beatiful day that will be.  I often ask my wife, can you tell me what we can NOT do this weekend.  She looks at me and laughs while she shakes her head.  All she can tell me, "Are you crazy, we have kids, were always going to have something to do...unless."  Then here comes the famous next set of thought in the quest to do NOTHING!!! But it comes with a price, oh yea, forgot to mention, as a daddy everything seems to cost MONEY!!!  So my wife follows up with,"...we could find a baby sitter!"  But to our own demise, we don't have one yet. Now were on the search for someone we can trust, someone willing to watch a 6 year old that loves to talk back and question everything.  As well as a 3 years old that loves to get into everything and enjoys seeing you pull your hair out in your constant fretting and shouting to just stop!  Hmmm...did I mention we just moved to a new area only less than a year ago and know NOBODY!!  Talk about stress, you want some stress, get married and have children, you will always be busy and full of things to do.

Whenever I hear someone talk about how bored they are or they dont have anything to do.  I just look at them with my eyes all glazed over like a zombie out for blood.  I almost could imagine myself reaching out of my own body and choking this person.  Shouting, "LET ME TELL YOU, HAVE A CHILD OR TWO!!! Then you will have more than something to do so much that you cant find nothing to do now.  Goes from one extreme messy thinking to the other extreme of living the mess.  Now did I mention in all this mess is an amazing, awesome, and very loving God.  Jesus is our strength and ever present help through these real life stuff that any marriage with children goes through.  It's because of Him that makes it all worth it in the end.  I dont know what I would do in all this mess without Christ.  Probably checked out and checked into the psychiatric ward of parenting...

Now Van Gogh is an amazing artist of his time and created amazing pieces of art.  Well I feel like my life is God's tapestry except im the paint that is always too thin and everytime is brushed on, it seems to drip and drool down the canvas.  But even in its messy look, its dries on as well, and makes its impression.  Although messy, it looks amazing and awesome to God, just how He would love it.  Were not expected to be perfect because no man is perfect.  Only suppose to love a perfect God, and expect Him to continually perfect us till the day of His return.

Keep living life messy because if it was all very clean, what life would that be!!!
